Monthly gathering · Wherever warriors gather

First Friday

One evening a month, warriors and supporters meet at a welcoming course—wherever warriors gather, including host clubs that open their doors. A meal, nine relaxed holes, and an honest debrief. Golf is the vehicle. Connection is the point.

Why First Friday

Healing grows with rhythm. First Friday gives warriors a standing date on the calendar: a place to belong, a reason to show up, and people who notice when you do.

It’s a monthly reset and a reminder that you don’t carry the load alone. Veterans, first responders, and invited supporters are welcome. No handicap required, and no pressure to perform.

How the evening flows

First Friday of every month, early evening into night.

  1. Check in & share a mealA welcome table, name tags, and time to meet the group before the first tee.
  2. Group photoA quick picture together, so we remember who showed up.
  3. Warm-up swingsNo pressure. Newcomers get paired with veterans of the group.
  4. Nine holesA relaxed pace that puts conversation ahead of score.
  5. After Action ReviewWe circle up for Three Ups and Three Downs. More on that below.
  6. Closing & next stepsThank-yous, upcoming dates, an optional moment of reflection, and safe travels home.

After Action Review

Every gathering ends the way good missions do: with an honest look back. It’s simple, voluntary, and safe.

Three Ups

Three things that went well, on the course, in life, or both.

Three Downs

Three challenges or areas to improve. Name them out loud with people who understand.

Share as much or as little as you choose. The AAR builds trust, shared learning, and the kind of connection that lasts past the 9th hole.

The Caddy program

A caddy doesn’t play the shot for you. A caddy carries the bag, reads the green with you, and helps you carry the load so you can focus on the next shot.

Warrior Golf Connect supporters become Caddies: people who walk the course alongside a fellow warrior through transition, recovery, or the weight of daily life. That’s more than writing a check. It means showing up for someone.

Bronze Caddy

Covers a tee time so a warrior can join us at First Friday or a similar outing.

Token: WGC bag tag

Silver Caddy

Covers a warrior’s place on a retreat or multi-day outing: lodging, meals, and play.

Token: challenge coin

Gold Caddy

Supports a warrior for a full season: multiple rounds plus retreat access.

Token: premium coin & bag tag set

Every Caddy receives a physical token. It isn’t a receipt. It’s a reminder that you’re part of the team. When a warrior sees that tag on a bag, they know someone chose to walk the course with them.

Our rule: see a round first. We don’t ask anyone to become a Caddy until they’ve joined us in person and felt what this is about.

Don’t golf? That works too. Walk a few holes, sit in on the AAR, and come back next month. Showing up is the highest form of support.

Caddy details are being finalized with our board. We’ll share specifics once they’re confirmed.
